Best high school boys basketball teams in every state (plus D.C.)

There’s no shortage of good high school boys basketball programs. There are even dozens of great ones. But there can be only one No. 1 school in each of the 50 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C. So, what’s the top hoops team in California? Florida? Texas?
Glad you asked.
What follows is a state-by-state look at the best high school boys teams in the good ol’ U.S. of A. (The A is for arenas, of course).
The following alphabetical rundown, featuring the alma maters of current NBA stars such as Marvin Bagley III, is based on a MaxPreps sea-to-shining-sea overview that was compiled and published before the action heated up in the 2020-2021 season.
In addition to big-name schools, you’ll find top-rated recruits such as Bronny James, Caleb Houstan and Emoni Bates.
So, what’s your state’s top school? Lace up the sneakers, and let’s get going.
